About

Mom’s Masala Rasoi is a Surrey-based tiffin company. They specialise in delivering hot, fresh Indian meals via their tiffin services. Families, working professionals, and students are among its devoted clientele. Mom’s Masala Rasoi realised they required a more efficient digital ecommerce platform to support their ongoing expansion because of their consumers’ increasing demands.

Objective

Develop a high-performing website using the latest version of Next.js that could fulfil these requirements and functionalities whilst being backed up by a contemporary ecommerce website design. The website would allow customers to easily manage subscriptions and place orders online. Furthermore, it should enhance the mobile experience of the users which will lead to an increase in conversion rates and minimise manual tasks allowing the client to scale up.

Challenges

Mom’s Masala Rasoi previously ran on a manual process before their digital transformation. They would track all of their orders using various spreadsheets, causing communication to take longer. This created issues with entering data and added unneeded complexities to their business. Because they did not have one central system, this made it difficult for the management of operations.

Orders were recorded manually in spreadsheets. This led to problems with the data and made things slow.

A responsive Next.js interface now lets you change your meal plans as you like. You can manage your subscription with one click. The website is created with a focus on high-quality ecommerce website design to be fast and improve conversion rate.

Next.js along with a headless backend architecture allowed us to achieve fast server-side rendering, SEO friendly content and seamless integration of third-party applications. A modular framework for developing new features will be supported by this modular scalable architecture without compromising site performance.

Smart route was added to pick the best delivery paths each time. This helped to reduce both time and costs. It also gave all people involved a way to track orders as they happen.
